How to quote a 48×96 banner
Customer on the line wants a 4×8 banner. You pick the factory Banner template, enter 48×96, add hem and grommets if you charge them, and send a share link before they hang up. After your street prices are in the template, this should take under 30 seconds.
On this call
- New quote. Type the customer name or pick them from the list.
- Choose the Banner template (square-foot calculator — factory seed, then your numbers).
- Enter 48 in by 96 in (or 4 ft × 8 ft, same area). Set quantity to 1.
- Tick hem, grommets, or double-sided only if that is in the price you say out loud.
- Send: copy the share link or email it. They Accept on their phone. You see Viewed on the quote.
What the template is doing
Banner is a square-foot matrix: width × height × quantity, plus add-ons. You are not writing a formula. You change the dollar amounts in Pricing so the matrix matches what you already charge.
Load the eight factory templates on day one. Tune Banner to your vinyl, hem, and grommet street prices once. The next 48×96 is typing size, not rebuilding a spreadsheet.
After they say yes
Convert to Job. Print a work order with no unit prices for the floor. The quote they accepted stays frozen — vinyl going up next month does not rewrite the link in their inbox.
That is the whole loop: quote on the call, Accept, Convert, shop paper. Not a job-board calendar.
What this is not
Not a customer-facing website configurator. You still take the call. They get a branded PDF or link — they do not design the banner in a cart.
